The asymptotic approximations are not valid for small samples. The ability to perform exact statistical tests frees one from the worries of the quality of asymptotic P-values. `Exact Test` always gives you exact P-values, regardless of your data structure.
The (non parametric) tests are:
1. One-Sample Chi-Square Goodness-of-Fit Test.
2. Independence in RxC-Contingency Tables (Fisher`s Exact Test).
3. Friedman`s Test (Cochran`s Test).
4. Kruskal-Wallis Test (Mann-Whitney`s Test/Wilcoxon`s Rank Sum Test).
5. McNemar`s Test.
6. Runs Test.
7. Spearman`s Correlation Coefficient Test.
8. Wilcoxon`s Signed Rank Test.
