Recover Fixed/Floppy Disk  1.4

RECOVER Fixed/Floppy Disk v1.4 ( 5-star rated). Folder / File level Data Recovery Utility for Hard Disk Drives and Floppy Disks. RECOVER Fixed/Floppy Disk handles File Allocation Table (FAT) damage and subfolder damage. If FAT damage should not affect you, just defragment the file system as often as you can. If subfolder damage should not affect you, save the subfolder to a safe location. This FREEWARE version would not save the Root Folder for later use. RECOVER Fixed/Floppy Disk handles these error conditions at individual folder level. Recovers all the files from the specified directory on 16-bit and 12-bit FAT file systems in DOS and WINDOWS even if both copies of the FAT have considerable number of damaged sectors, if the disk involved had been regularly defragmented. If FAT is good, FAT1 or FAT2 can be used. All you need to do is put all your important files in a few directories (note: entire drives can be ZIPped up and sent to the backup drive) and defrag that backup drive after each update and if you want to be playful enough, note down the first sector of file(s) or if you want 100 percent safety, save the subdirectory having your important data as a file somewhere else. IF YOU DEFRAG FLOPPY/HDD REGULARLY, YOU GET THE UTMOST BENEFIT. Supports FAT12 File Systems (Floppies) from DOS to WINDOWS 98SE and FAT16 File Systems in DOS, WINDOWS 3.1/3.11, WINDOWS 95, and (up to 2 GB partitions in) WINDOWS 95-OSR2, WINDOWS 98 and WINDOWS 98SE (HDD can be 120 GB). This program is certainly for those who backup because backup programs never talk about uncertainties w.r.t. FAT and Directory entries. A floppy ora FAT16 partition needed to get started. You can find out the TECHIE in you.

ANALYZER for RECOVER Floppy Pro  0.1

Recursive disk level data recovery analysis software for bad Floppy Disks. Single recursive run lists all files having a folder entry from an inaccessible floppy disk. Listed files and orphaned files can be recovered by using RECOVER Floppy Pro v1.0. Meant for floppy disks that generate `Drive A: is not accessible` or `The disk in drive A: is not formatted` error in WINDOWS. Runs from a DOS box in WINDOWS XP / 2000 / ME / 98 / 98SE / 95 / 95 OSR2. Depending on the version of the WINDOWS OS, a bad Boot Sector on a floppy disk generates `Drive A: is not accessible` or `The disk in drive A: is not formatted` error in WINDOWS. `Drive A: is not accessible` error means one of these other problems too: 1) `Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)` 2) ``The system cannot read from the specified device` 3) `The requested sector is not found`. Mainly a bad Boot Sector and/or some other bad sectors in the system area of the floppy disk cause this error (again depending on the WINDOWS version): `The disk in drive A: is not formatted Do you want to format it now`. These are not big problems. There is no need to find bad sectors by yourself. There is no need to look at sector contents by yourself. And there is no need to make any decisions by yourself regarding what to recover, and what content belongs to what file. Analyzer for RECOVER Floppy Pro lists files with their cluster size and fragmentation status. This shows that this much of info is still available on the bad floppy. This ability to list the lost files ensures that your precious files can be recovered by using RECOVER Floppy Pro v1.0 (just $21 USD). In the case of a reformatted floppy disk, the analyzer can only list files having a folder entry. But RECOVER Floppy Pro can recover these orphaned files too giving them new names when they are recovered.

DELSPECial  1.3

DELSPECial is a "DOS world can`t do without" file finder / command invoker plus new deltree - 5-star rated. Invokes any program / command to do anything the invoked program / command has provision for, on any file or a particular set of files located anywhere on a disk (file extension enough). Every command or executable, that will not attend to subdirectories on its own, can be made to be invoked on any files wherever they may be on a drive. DELSPECial puts every DOS command or executable at your disposal. All types of commands and programs can be invoked i.e. those that accept file specifications and those that accept only the full name of the file can be invoked and DOS pipe characters can also be employed where necessary using user defined substitute characters. Now the entire drive`s contents are in your control even when you know only the file extensions instead of full filenames. Locates file (file extension enough). Logs to file`s directory on your behalf. On next invocation, you can skip this directory and go to next level directory which has file(s) with desired extension. Versatile. You can do anything. Find and open file. Find and delete file. Lists deleted files in ListFile. Find and play, view, edit, encrypt, or shred file or do anything if you have the required player, viewer, editor, encrypter, shredder, etc., etc. Imagination and programs / commands at your disposal are the only limitation, if it can be put that way. Programmers can search for code (often their own code) by invoking a file viewer recursively across directories all over the drive. One can limit functionality to first-file-found directory if recursive directory navigation is not needed. Has runtime directory creation capability. Fewer command line params to be typed if environment variables are used. Setting SCROLL LOCK ON stops next invocation of specified command or next file deletion.
