Paessler URL Recorder  1.0

Image of Paessler URL Recorder

Paessler URL Recorder helps to find out the URLs and POSTDATA strings that a user sends to a web server while surfing a sequence of URLs. It works like a standard web browser, whereby you enter a URL at the top of the application then click "Go". You can then use the mouse to surf through the sequence you want to record. While you are accessing one page after the other, the URL and - if you submit a POST request - the POSTDATA, are stored in the list at the bottom of the window. Once you have finished recording your URLs or POSTDATA you can save the list of URLs to CSV and HTML, copy the list to the clipboard and copy individual URLs or POSTDATA to the clipboard.

PRTG - Paessler Router Traffic Grapher  6.0.2.255

Image of PRTG - Paessler Router Traffic Grapher

PRTG Traffic Grapher is an easy to use Windows application for monitoring and classifying bandwidth usage. It provides system administrators with live readings and long-term usage trends for their network devices. PRTG is mainly used for bandwidth usage monitoring, but may also be used to monitor many other aspects of a network such as memory and CPU utilization. With PRTG Traffic Grapher the user receives comprehensive bandwidth and network usage data that helps to optimize the efficiency of the network. Understanding bandwidth and resource consumption is the key to better network management: Avoid bandwidth and server performance bottlenecks; Find out what applications or what servers use up your bandwidth; Deliver better quality of service to your users by being proactive; Reduce costs by buying bandwidth and hardware according to actual load. The Freeware Edition of PRTG Traffic Grapher is completely free for personal and commercial use and may be downloaded for free. PRTG Traffic Grapher is designed to run on a Windows machine in your network for 24 hours every day, and constantly records the network usage parameters. The recorded data is stored in an internal database for later reference. Using an easy to use Windows interface you can configure the monitored sensors as well as create usage reports. For remote access PRTG Traffic Grapher comes with a built-in web server to provide access to graphs and tables. All common methods for network usage data acquisition are supported: SNMP: Simple Network Management Protocol is the basic method of gathering bandwidth and network usage data. It can be used to monitor bandwidth usage of routers and switches port-by-port as well as device readings like memory, CPU load etc. Packet Sniffing: With its built-in Packet Sniffer PRTG can inspect all network data packets passing the network card to calculate the bandwidth usage. NetFlow: The NetFlow protocol is supported by most Cisco routers to measure bandwidth usage.

Paessler SNMP Tester  2.2

Image of Paessler SNMP Tester

With Paessler SNMP Tester you can run simple SNMP requests against a device in your network. During the test each single step of the SNMP request is logged into a logfile for analysis. The idea of this free program is to debug SNMP requests down to the protocol level in order to find communication and/or data problems in SNMP monitoring configurations. Just follow these simple instructions: 1) Download Paessler SNMP Tester and run the snmptest.exe file. 2) Enter the IP address of your device and select the SNMP port and the SNMP community string. 3) Select a request type: (a) MIB2 Interface: Reads the traffic counter of a port according to the MIB2 OID (b) Custom OID: Enter a custom OID value to access any OID value on the device (c) Device Uptime: Reads the standard system uptime value from the device 4) It may be necessary to select a specific local IP for the SNMP request (usually only necessary for multi homed systems) 5) Click on "Run Test" to start the testing process. 6) During the test you will find detailed information in the logfile window.

Paessler Netflow Tester  1.1

Image of Paessler Netflow Tester

Paessler Netflow Tester dumps the data of all Netflow packets that a computer receives from a Cisco router. This can be useful when debugging bandwidth monitoring configurations based on Cisco`s Netflow protocol. First the Netflow protocol must be enabled and configured on the router. Then the router must be given the IP address of the computer running Netflow tester so that the UDP data packets with Netflow data are sent to that computer. Just follow these simple instructions: 1) Download Paessler Netflow Tester and then start netflowtest.exe 2) Enter the IP and port number that you have configured as netflow packet target in your Cisco Router. Usually selecting "any IP" should work, in some cases the IP must be explicitly selected. 3) Enable "Start Netflow Collector". 4) You should now see a line in the logfile for each packet the computer receives. Each line shows the time, netflow version, number of flows and the IP of a packet (note: You need netflow version 5 for PRTG Traffic Grapher!) 5) Enable "Show Flow Data" to also show the corresponding flow data. 6) If you do not see any activity then the system does not receive any netflow data (e.g. due to misconfiguration of the router or a firewall blocking the packets, etc.)
