United States Geography Tutor 1.1.0
Want to brush up on the names and locations of the 48 contiguous states of the USA? This program from the Family Games Web Center will help you. United States Geography Tutor presents a scrolling map of the U.S. along with a list of states. As your mouse pointer passes over the map, the state under the pointer highlights, along with its entry in the list. Simply browse the map until you feel ready, then try either of the two self-test modes. In Find States mode, you are asked to click a state on the map given its name. In Identify States mode, you are asked to click the name in the list corresponding to the state that is highlighted on the map. Both quizzes run through the entire list of 48 states in random order. A running score is displayed. Any errors are highlighted in the state list for later review.
Venables 1.5.1
Venables is an abstract two-player strategy game with a special twist: instead of moving your pieces yourself, you control them indirectly by means of a cursor on an auxiliary board where the squares have icons specifying the moves you will make on the main board. Other unusual features of Venables are that you can make more than one move on the same turn, and capture more than one piece in a single move. Despite its novel features, Venables is easy to learn, and the computer itself provides a patient opponent while you`re getting used to the game.
Valvo 1.5.1
Valvo is a strategy game for two players. It combines simple rules with remarkably subtle tactical possibilities. Valvo is a race game in which tactical thinking is complicated by an element of chance, much as in Backgammon. But Valvo is so much easier than Backgammon, both to learn and play, that you will master the rules in about two minutes. You can play Valvo against a fellow human, or against the computer, which has 6 difficulty levels that range from easy to very challenging.

Pic-Tac-Toe 1.5.1
Pic-Tac-Toe is a cousin to three-dimensional tic-tac-toe, but it`s easier to play, better looking and more fun! You can play against a friend or try your hand against the computer at your choice of difficulty levels. You can even sit back and watch the computer compete against itself. Built-in help and rules demo makes learning practically instant! Graphics are configurable.
Oktagon 1.5.1
Oktagon comprises two separate octagonal puzzles. In the first, you must rearrange a set of four to eight irregular shapes to form an octagon. This is based on a puzzle in our shareware game Uncle Julius and the Anywhere Machine. In the second puzzle, you must rotate six concentric octagonal rings until all have the same orientation. The catch is that the rings are linked, so that rotating one also rotates one or two others.
NoteCard 2.0.1
NoteCard is an educational utility that will give you drill at recognizing music notes. It can significantly shorten the time it takes to learn to recognize the notes instantly, an absolutely necessary ability for fluent reading. As notes are displayed on a musical staff, you enter the note name, or click in the appropriate place on a piano keyboard or guitar neck graphic. Provides practice with both treble and bass staves. Work through twelve levels as your skill builds. NoteCard is an ideal tool for anyone in the first stages of learning to read music.
Whirlwords 1.0.3
Whirlwords is based on the familiar pencil-and-paper word chain puzzles that require you to connect two words by a series of steps in which you change one letter at a time. Our version extends the concept by providing six types of transitions from one word to the next instead of only one. Whirlwords comes with more than 100 puzzles in order of increasing difficulty. It also features a nifty graphical interface, a built-in editor so that you can construct your own puzzles, complete on-line help, and a vocabulary of more than 5,000 words.
